Everyone was reminded of Helene and shared their various experiences (impromptu)
Half the table was only to speak ‘Puppy’ while the other half was assigned Meows. Their mission was to tell the other table that God loves them and is with us.
It was cacophonous and fun
Then we learned about the miracle of understanding other languages and the work of translating the Good News so that everyone can know they are loved.

When children started to arrive today, I welcomed them: “Today we are going to learn about wind and fire and the word Pentecost.”
Child A: We will have to do fire outside!
Me: No, I don’t think Pastor Nick would like if we do real fire, we’re going to draw it.
Child A: We can keep it secret! We won’t tell our parents!
Me-(for the record, very important-) I don’t think we should keep secrets like that!
Child A to Child B upon their arrival to class(with excitement): We’re going to play with fire and keep it a secret!
Ya’ll, I didn’t say that and we didn’t play with fire- we made pinwheels from construction paper
